Since December 29 I am a grandmother of this lovely little girl Laila

She is the first child of my daughter (and her husband of course ). I have only seen her twice so far but she already takes up a big part of my heart

My flagcounter tells me that I had 126 visitors from Switzerland since I installed the counter last May. Today I would like to send a special thank you to all these visitors for stopping by my site and for their kind support. These images caught my eye very quickly as they illustrate some of the things people remember, apart from bank and Federer when they hear Switzerland.

I love Switzerland - Wonderful County and I have made quite a lot of Swiss friends in recent years. When in Europe I like to try get away to The Swiss Alps once a year (at least) and always to Zermatt. Mind you the dialect is fun!!!

Forgot to mention but Switzerland to me means GREAT Food - Asparagus in 'Spargelfest' FOndue and Raclette.... If I was not living in Peru I would be hungry I am sure just thinking about Switzerland!

I used to think it had some of the finest Cuisine in The World (and it does) but I think Peru is now top of my list!
